Contracts in the midstream oil and gas segment registered an increase of 15% with a total of 63 contracts in September 2021, when compared with 55 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked a decrease of 24%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 83 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the midstream segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 24 contracts and a 38% share in September 2021, followed by Europe and Middle East with 23 (37%) and five (8%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the midstream segment were awarded in the design & engineering with 28 contracts, followed by operations & maintenance and procurement with 19 contracts each.
