The Montney (Ovintiv Inc) BC unconventional gas field recovered 31.87% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2023. The peak production will approximately 0.07 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 1,304 Mmcfd of natural gas and 77.03 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2043. The field currently accounts for approximately 3% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 1,286.09 Mmboe, comprised of 0.08 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 5,697.02 bcf of natural gas reserves and 336.5 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves.
