Nel is a 441km-long onshore pipeline project operated by NEL Gastransport. This gas pipeline, with a maximum diameter of 56 inches, starts at Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Germany) and ends in Lower Saxony (Germany).

The Nel project started operations in 2012 and is owned by Gazprom Germania, NV Nederlandse Gasunie, Publigaz, BASF, LetterOne Holdings, and Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec.


The Nel project is associated with the 2448km Nord Stream and 473km Opal.
