Production from Alrar

The Alrar conventional gas field recovered 79.62% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1997. The peak production was approximately 30.49 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 872.00 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2048. The field currently accounts for approximately 5% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 411.31 Mmboe, comprised of 16.63 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 2,228.67 bcf of natural gas reserves and 23.24 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Alrar conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.14% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
