Production from Bahrain
The Bahrain heavy oil field recovered 87.94% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2022. The peak production was approximately 41.49 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 1,053.00 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2027. The field currently accounts for approximately 56% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 324.91 Mmboe, comprised of 65.59 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 1,555.94 bcf of natural gas reserves. Bahrain heavy oil field reserves accounts 0.76% of total remaining reserves of producing heavy oil fields globally.
