BassGas is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Australia and is operated by Beach Energy (Operations). According to GlobalData, who tracks more than 34,000 active and developing oil and gas fields worldwide, the field is located in block T/L1, with water depth of 262 feet. Buy the profile here.

An expansion project is associated with the BassGas, namely the Yolla Development . This project is currently in the feed stage.

Field participation details

The field is owned by Beach Energy and Oil and Natural Gas.

Production from BassGas

The BassGas conventional gas field recovered 98.42% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2008. The peak production was approximately 2.01 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 55.00 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2024.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 0.81 Mmboe, comprised of 0.29 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 2.41 bcf of natural gas reserves and 0.12 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves.
