Six expansion projects are associated with the Kashagan conventional oil field, namely the Kashagan Phase 2, the Kashagan Future Gas Expansion (Phase A), the Kashagan CFP, the Aktote, the Kairan and the Kashagan Southwest. Production from Kashagan
The Kashagan conventional oil field recovered 13.67% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2025. The peak production will approximately 438.55 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 1,061.00 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2077. The field currently accounts for approximately 16% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 4,983.78 Mmboe, comprised of 3,521.10 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 8,776.09 bcf of natural gas reserves. Kashagan conventional oil field reserves accounts 1.11% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
