An expansion project is associated with the Kristin, namely the Kristin Q . This project is currently in the construction stage, expected to start in 2024.

Field participation details

The field is owned by Eni, Equinor, HitecVision, Petoro and TotalEnergies.

Production from Kristin

The Kristin conventional gas field recovered 94.15% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2008. The peak production was approximately 75.74 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 381.00 Mmcfd of natural gas and 27.98 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2031.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 24.50 Mmboe, comprised of 4.68 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 93.25 bcf of natural gas reserves and 4.28 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Kristin conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
