Production from Qatargas 2

The Qatargas 2 conventional gas field recovered 47.31% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2013. The peak production was approximately 107.24 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 54.00 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids and 2,088 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2083. The field currently accounts for approximately 10% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 2,393.17 Mmboe, comprised of 385.25 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 12,047.50 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves. Qatargas 2 conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.82% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
