Production from Sanaga Sud
The Sanaga Sud conventional gas field recovered 43.27% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2023. The peak production was approximately 3.43 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 52.00 Mmcfd of natural gas, 0.94 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids and 253 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2035. The field currently accounts for approximately 38% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 84.48 Mmboe, comprised of 10.87 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 166.42 bcf of natural gas reserves, 269.15 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves and 1.01 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Sanaga Sud conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.03% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
