The South Pars Phases 17 and 18 conventional gas field recovered 28.94% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2018. The peak production was approximately 88.00 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 1,940.00 Mmcfd of natural gas and 45.09 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2050. The field currently accounts for approximately 5% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 2,238.38 Mmboe, comprised of 212.80 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 10,772.18 bcf of natural gas reserves and 230.21 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. South Pars Phases 17 and 18 conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.76% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
