Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered an increase of 143% with a total of 17 contracts in March 2022, when compared with seven contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked a decrease of 32%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 25 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the petrochemicals segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with nine contracts and a 53% share in March 2022, followed by North America and Europe with four (24%) and three (18%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the procurement with 11 contracts, followed by design & engineering and installation with nine and two contracts, respectively.
