Contracts in the pipeline segment in the oil and gas industry registered an increase in activity by 4% in September 2021 with a total of 28 contracts, when compared with the previous month’s total of 27 contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

A total of 28 contracts were recorded in the pipeline sector globally during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of 31 contracts.

 

In September 2021, the majority of contracts in the pipeline segment were in the onshore pipeline sub-segment with 25 contracts and a 76% share. Offshore pipeline sub-segment witnessed eight contracts, during the month.

Europe held the top position with nine contracts and a 32% share during September 2021, followed by Asia-Pacific and Middle East with eight contracts (29%) and four contracts (14%), respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the pipeline segment were awarded in the design & engineering with 13 contracts, followed by procurement and operations & maintenance with 10 and nine contracts, respectively.
