Texas witnessed a decrease of 1.55% in total oil and gas production to 1,02,43,503.82 boe/d in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production grew by 6.9% in July 2021 from 95,82,178.43 boe/d in July 2020. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in 2021 decreased by 0.64% from the same period in 2020.
In July 2021, oil production declined by 2.07% to 44,70,085.28 bd as against the previous month, while gas production declined by 0.7% to 29,789.42 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production increased by 1.94% in 2021 when compared with the same period in 2020, while gas production declined by 0.6%. Out of the total oil and gas production in July 2021, oil held a 43.64% share, while gas had a 50.14% share.
In Texas, Pioneer Natural Resources emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 7,50,998.01 boe/d in July 2021, an increase of 0.87% from the previous month. The company held a 10.61% share in oil production and 5.22% share in gas production in July 2021.
On a YTD basis, the company registered a 0.5% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2020.
Compared with other counties in Texas, Reeves county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 9.26% share in July 2021. The county witnessed a 1.94% decrease in production to 9,48,628.18 boe/d in July 2021 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, Reeves registered a decline of 11.71% in total production from the same period in 2020.
