Norwegian engineering services firm AqualisBraemar and Aberdeen-based Hands-On Subsea Engineering (HOSE) International have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly provide inspection services for the offshore industry.
The two companies will provide rig and well control inspection services. HOSE International will also focus on independent auditing of well control equipment as part of its partnership with AqualisBraemar.

AqualisBraemar rig inspection services head Steven Lee said: “The combined competence of AqualisBraemar and HOSE International will provide oil companies and rig operators worldwide with some of the oil and gas industry’s leading experts within well control, rig compliance and dynamic positioning.”
AqualisBraemar offers rig inspection services through its offices network in 33 countries, starting from development through execution of rig inspection and acceptance programmes for drillships and jack-up rigs of all generations.
It also provides services for well control, rig compliance, dynamic positioning, integrated control management system inspections and rig preservation assessments. Rig selection consultancy is also included in the company’s services.
HOSE International managing director Richard Brennan said: “Operators and drilling companies are increasingly asking suppliers to support them with both rig intake programmes and rig inspection services.

HOSE International provides inspection, re-activation, and support of well control equipment and is primarily engaged in offering services with respect to well control equipment inspection, verification, and assurance.
