Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) plans to divest its interest in ONGC Petro additions (OPaL).

Also based in India, OPaL is a producer and supplier of petrochemical products.

The funds raised from the divestment will be used by ONGC to acquire Hindustan Petroleum.

Diversified Gas & Oil has completed an acquisition of Alliance Petroleum from Lake Fork Resources Acquisition (LFRA) for $95m.

The transaction also included a repayment of Alliance Petroleum’s debts amounting to $25m.

The Alliance Petroleum assets include gas wells in the Appalachian Basin, which lie in the states of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio, US.

The company is executing the transaction through its subsidiary R E Gas Development.

All the companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.

The transaction is expected to strengthen XPR Resources’ business operations.

First State Investments has entered an agreement to acquire gas grid company E ON Gas Sverige from E ON Sverige.

The company is executing the transaction through the European Diversified Infrastructure Fund II.

Based in the UK, First State Investments is a privately-owned investment management firm, while E ON Sverige is a Swedish energy company.

The transaction is expected to strengthen First State Investment’s investment portfolio.
