Technip has been awarded an engineering, procurement and technical assistance contract from Fengzhen Wanjie Gas for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant using Air Products’ liquefaction process, to be located in Fengzhen City, Inner Mongolia province, China.
The plant will feature 1.3 million cubic nanometres a day LNG train and a 300,000nm³/day compressed natural gas (CNG) station.
Under the contract, Technip will be responsible for basic engineering design (BED) of the process plant as well as BED and detailed engineering design of an LNG tank. The company will also provide the main cryogenic heat exchanger, mixed refrigerant compressor, boil-off gas compressor, LNG in-tank pumps, cryogenic control and on/off valves.
Technip’s operating centres in Shanghai, China, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will execute the contract with a plant start-up due for the second half of 2016.
Technip Asia Pacific president KK Lim said: "This contract award is another success for us in the growing mid-scale LNG market in China."
