Management consultancy Accenture is working with oil and gas software provider SAP to deliver new offerings based on the SAP HANA platform Upstream Production Operations.
Upstream Production Operations will extend the relationship between the two companies and expand their portfolio of hydrocarbon management solutions. It consists of solutions, services and training for the production operations of energy companies.
The companies aim to help oil and gas companies to improve and standardise processes, replace legacy tools and provide a single view of production across the organisation, minimising uncertainty and improving the management of production.
Accenture and SAP claim to provide an end-to-end solution, including key processes such as production forecasting, field data capture, production accounting and deferment management as part of the programme.
Accenture will provide consulting, system integration and outsourcing services, using SAP’s leading software platform as the backbone.
Accenture resources operating group chief executive Jean-Marc Ollagnier said that the new upstream production operation solutions are designed to fill a significant void in today’s upstream market.
