Inpex Norge has agreed to acquire a 40% participating interest from Bayerngas Norge in the PL767 exploration licence in the western Barents Sea, Norway.
The PL767 exploration licence is Inpex’s first project in Norway, and anticipated to strengthen the global project portfolio of the company.
Located approximately 120km offshore Norway, the licence covers 211km² in water depths ranging between 300m and 400m.
Xodus Group has secured two contracts from Cairn Energy subsidiary Capricorn Senegal for projects at Rufisque Offshore, Sangomar Offshore and Sangomar Deep Offshore (RSSD) blocks in Senegal.
Xodus’s team will conduct environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) studies for drilling activities in the Sangomar and Rufisque blocks.
The contractual scope also includes an ESIA for installing an FPSO over the SNE deepwater oilfield at the Sangomar Deep Offshore block for Woodside Energy.
