SLB has received a contract from OQ Exploration & Production (OQEP) for the expansion of the Bisat-B production facility at the Bisat oilfield in Oman.
Financial details relating to the contract were not disclosed.

The scope of work includes design and engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) services, with an additional four-year period of operations and maintenance support after completion.
Once expanded, the facility is expected to have a gross fluids handling capacity of 548,000 barrels per day.
The project is scheduled for delivery within 19 months.
The contract represents a new stage in the development of the Bisat field, continuing a history of collaboration between OQEP and SLB.
SLB and OQEP previously worked together on the Bisat-A facility, completed in 2018, and the original Bisat-B facility, delivered in 2020.
The Bisat-B expansion forms part of OQEP’s continued field development strategy.
Located in Block 60 in Abu Butabul, the Bisat oilfield was discovered in 2017 and inaugurated in early 2023.

Last month, SLB signed a multi-year agreement with Equinor to provide advanced reservoir stimulation services on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
As part of the arrangement, SLB will carry out a major upgrade of well stimulation vessel the MV Island Captain, which will be used to support the development of tight offshore reservoirs in Norway.
