Wood Group has won a four-year data build contract from Total Denmark E&P to develop and deliver operations readiness assurance for the Tyra redevelopment project in the North Sea.
The project is located approximately 225km west of Esbjerg.
Under the contract, Wood will deploy its integrated maintenance database (IMD) to develop Total’s SAP maintenance management system.
To be provided by Wood experts based in Esbjerg, Aberdeen and Manila, the IMD will support the creation and manipulation of hierarchical equipment lists, task lists, job plans and tasks, bills of material, object lists, routes and planned maintenance.
Wood specialist technical solutions CEO Bob MacDonald said: “We have a longstanding relationship with Total across their assets globally and are pleased to continue this on our first project together in Denmark.
“With more than 40 years of experience in operational readiness, we are ideally positioned to deliver this unique redevelopment project, sharing our established global experience and local deployment capabilities to support Total.”
The Tyra gas field is located in blocks 5504/11 and 5504/12, and processes nearly 90% of Denmark’s gas production. The first production from the field started in 1984.
Wood has operations in more than 60 countries and around 55,000 employees.
With revenues exceeding $11bn, the company offers solutions across different sectors such as upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas, power and chemicals.
