
The global equipment and services capital-raising activity was worth a combined $8.5bn from 42 transactions during the second quarter of 2017, according to a report by GlobalData.
Titled ‘Quarterly Equipment and Services Capital Raising Review – Q2 2017’, the report states that the Americas region witnessed the highest capital-raising activity, with 20 deals worth a total of $4.9bn.
The number of deals greater than $100m was 18 and totalled $7.9bn, compared to the previous quarter, which saw 26 deals and totalled $8bn.
The top deal registered during the quarter was Oil India’s public offering of 4% unsecured notes to raise $500m.
