Enterprise Products Partners, Enbridge Energy Partners and Anadarko Petroleum have entered an agreement to design and construct a new natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline in Texas, US.

The 580 miles Texas Express Pipeline (TEP) will originate from Skellytown in Carson County to NGL fractionation and storage facilities in Mont Belvieu.

The pipeline will have an initial capacity of 280,000 barrels per day, which can be expanded to 400,000bpd.

The firms will also build two NGL gathering systems to connect the TEP to natural gas processing plants in the Anadarko / Granite Wash production area and processing plants at the Central Texas Barnett Shale areas.

Enterprise will construct the pipeline and serve as its operator, while Enbridge will build and operate the new gathering systems.
