Group HQ change to Dubai

Specialist Services Group has announced that in line with their recent processes optimisation focused on reduced response time and increased organisational agility to cope with the current oil and gas industry challenges, the group headquarters previously based in TECOM, Dubai, have been relocated to their Centre of Excellence offices in Jebel Ali.

"This marks another important milestone at Specialist Services. With the move of our modular buildings and modular hire division teams to the new Jebel Ali office and yard in 2012, the facility started acting as the group’s Centre of Excellence for the manufacturing of onshore and offshore modular buildings, as well as the Middle East and Africa modular hire centre. Now, by bringing together senior management and support teams with projects and production teams, we plan to achieve a further improvement in our capabilities by fostering, even more than before, innovation, team work and growth," said Ian Rogers, chief executive officer at Specialist Services.

The office space was already accommodating modular buildings, modular hire and EPC projects teams, procurement and QHSE departments, while in the adjacent manufacturing facilities operate supervisors and yard workers. With the Group Headquarters change, Senior management, sales & marketing, finance, IT, HR and administration teams are now also located in the Centre of Excellence in Jebel Ali Industrial Area 2.

Technology and innovation play a significant part in maintaining or even increasing production levels and are therefore in demand by our customers, especially in today’s challenging oil & gas market. In order to increase our products and services quality and meet these new market demands, we have been optimising our processes, working on our product diversification strategy through existing products innovation and new product development projects, as well as on our strategic expansion to new industries and markets," said Chris Ridley, group sales and marketing director at Specialist Services.

The headquarters change will bring significant benefits to Specialist Services, especially by bringing together their sales and support functions with business units and production teams. "This will result in a more efficient and effective communication, reduced travels between facilities, improved teamwork and will ultimately lead to better business results and reinforce the Group vision of being the market leader and preferred supplier across our core product offerings," concluded Ian Rogers.
