Specialist Services Group has announced a joint venture with RedGuard to provide blast-resistant and ballistic modules to the oil and gas, petrochemical and defence industries in the Middle East, Europe and South East Asia.

The new RedGuard Specialist Services joint venture combines the best assets and talents of both parent companies. The US-based RedGuard has the world’s largest fleet of ready-to-lease blast-resistant buildings and extensive experience in the provision of field-tested, customised modules for blast and ballistic applications. Specialist Services has the largest Zone 1 offshore and accommodation modular fleet, headquartered in Dubai with rental hubs in Europe and the far East, all supported by extensive design and engineering capabilities in its manufacturing facilities. RedGuard Specialist Services will be able to immediately address the need for blast-resistant, ballistic and zoned modules across the eastern hemisphere.

"We are delighted to be teaming up with RedGuard in the markets we know best, to capitalise on the complimentary skills and experience of both our organisations in continued pursuit of our mission to protect life and assets in some of the world’s most hazardous and most challenging environments," said Ian Rogers, chief executive officer at Specialist Services.

"Our partnership with Specialist Services allows us to continue the business of protecting lives with a broader reach than ever before," said Darren Hillman, president at RedGuard.

"We’re looking forward to merging our strengths and growing RedGuard Specialist Services’ global footprint across the eastern hemisphere."
