Swan Hunter continues to grow its installation equipment pool with the purchase of a three-track 60Te tensioner.
The 60Te tensioner, now the flagship in Swan Hunter’s tensioner range, enables the company to offer a substantial unit capable of installing larger, heavier products, where installation tensions exceed that of the more common 5Te – 20Te rental tensioners currently available on the market. The unit is scheduled for modification works in the new year, which once complete will enable it to be split into two sections for road transportation.
Package manager Kees Havik stated: "This tensioner unit should provide an attractive and cost effective option to our clients, providing a high-capacity tensioner that is easily road transported to site, and swiftly re-assembled on the quayside ahead of mobilisation to the vessel."
