Thermtech is pleased to announce the sale of a Thermomechanical Cuttings Cleaner (TCC®) to be operated by Scomi Oiltools. The TCC unit will be installed in a new facility in Sandnessjøen. The unit is financed by Environtech Rental and rented out to SCOMI Oiltools.

The building of the site and the manufacturing of the unit is well under way and installation is planned for May 2010. The new treatment plant will process the drilling waste from the Skarv field.

Thermtech is the owner and supplier of world’s leading thermal desorption technology for the treatment of oily waste. In the TCC heath is generated by friction resulting in a fast, safe and complete separation of the oil, water and solids in the cuttings. The expensive base oil can be re-used in the mud with significant savings and environmental benefits.
