Favuseal Releases Free White Paper

Favuseal, a leading provider of fire barrier systems for the offshore industry, has released a free white paper on the Offshore-Technology website.

The Favuseal fire barrier system (FFBS) was introduced in 1988 for the protection of glass-fibre reinforced epoxy piping in the offshore industry. Numerous oil installations all over the world are fire protected by FFBS. The system is based mainly on Favuseal technology.

A series of tests on FFBS-protected glass-fibre reinforced epoxy pipes have demonstrated the system’s excellent properties as a fire barrier. Tests have been made in ovens and under ‘jet fire’ conditions. The results, particularly those for ‘jet fire’ conditions, are convincing.
