Following the launch at OTC 2015 of the Permasense ET210 system that makes installation of continuous corrosion and erosion monitoring systems into upstream environments particularly easy, Permasense has opened an office in Aberdeen, UK, dedicated to serving customers in the upstream oil and gas sector.

Iain Fullerton has been appointed upstream business manager to head up the Aberdeen operation. Gary Wallace has been appointed upstream technical manager.

Permasense business development director Tom Fuggle comments: "We are delighted to welcome Iain and Gary to the Permasense team. Our upstream customers now have access to a support team who completely understand the specific challenges they face.

"The demand for Permasense monitoring systems in the current low oil price climate is more significant than ever, as the quality of data from the Permasense systems is simultaneously enabling operators to maximise production efficiency and reduce OPEX spend."
