Texo Drone Survey and Inspection Ltd, the owner-operator of the world’s most dynamic fleet of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for industrial applications are pleased to announce the award of the UK’s most comprehensive set of congested area commercial flight permissions ever awarded by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Given the extensive fleet of drones owned and operated by the company, the Operating Safety Case (OSC) was formed around specific equipment and the technical complexity of flights in a variety of demanding operating environments.

This unique set of Permissions from the CAA include the ability to operate:

  • To within 5 meters of any person, vehicle, vessel or structure
  • Over or within 10 meters of a structure that has a height for more than 400ft
  • To within 50 metres of an organised open-air assembly of more than 1,000 people
  • Extended Visual Line of Sight (EVLOS) to 1,500 meters
