Seaway Heavy Lifting's number one driver is safety. All our projects are executed with a maximum safety and a no-compromise policy on risks, neither for people nor for the environment. Our clients can rely on Seaway Heavy Lifting that their projects comply with the strictest requirements and international legislation.
Cyprus-based Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) is an independent offshore installation contractor with experience in the transport, installation and removal of offshore oil and gas platforms, subsea structures and the installation of wind turbine foundations.
By utilising our highly experienced personnel and state-of-the-art vessels, we can offer tailor-made solutions for a variety of projects in differing circumstances and environments.
SHL operates crane vessels ‘Stanislav Yudin’ and ‘Oleg Strashnov’, with a revolving lift capacity of 2,500t and 5,000t respectively.
Safety policy and quality management system
SHL’s number one driver is safety. All our projects are executed with maximum safety and a no-compromise policy on risks, neither for people nor for the environment. Our clients rely on SHL to make sure their projects comply with the strictest requirements and international legislation.
Seaway Heavy Lifting
Our dedicated management system ensures effective policy implementation. SHL implements continuous company-wide improvement for HSE awareness and safety standards, which are imposed on subcontractors as well.
Our safety and quality systems are continuously measured to industry standards. We make sure that our projects are in full compliance with the HSE and marine warranty surveyor requirements.
SHL management obtained the DNV Environmental Class notation CLEAN for the Oleg Strashnov. This notation is a voluntary class notation limiting the emissions of harmful pollutants and limiting the probability and consequences of accidents.
Offshore installation and transportation services
A timely, reliable and within budget execution of offshore projects is vital. With our fully owned installation vessels, we control and manage our portfolio and satisfy our clients’ requirements. In addition, because we build our portfolio around various projects within a certain region, we limit schedule risks and mobilisation costs.
With proven concepts as a starting point, we optimise and engineer offshore installation and transportation. With our versatile vessels and innovative equipment, we can give timely access to remote deepwater or shallow water frontier locations. This capability optimises the offshore installation schedule and makes sure that our clients start production sooner.
Hand-in-hand with our control of schedule risks, SHL offers the most economic, transparent, lump-sum offshore installation contracts, even absorbing weather risk. Our clients know their installation costs up-front and they reap the reward of our emphasis on no cost overruns and no pre-investment.
Independent offshore installation contractor
As an independent installation contractor, we are known to deliver solutions that are safe, on time and technically perfect. Our client’s projects are simplified because they can offload the complete installation and transportation to our capable project management team. Through our in-house project management, engineering and design teams, we ensure smooth and successful project execution.
Our proactive project management adapts well to different circumstances and environments, and takes ownership of identified risks. Interface risks are continuously monitored to ensure a timely execution of the project and a smooth offshore meeting.
Due to early involvement of project engineering SHL develops the most efficient installation concepts. A well-oiled cooperation between the engineering team and the seasoned offshore crew further improves and optimises the project execution.
Expert and experienced team
SHL recognises the expertise and experience of its employees. Many in our staff were involved in some of the first offshore projects in the North Sea and in the execution of some of the world’s largest and most complex installation projects.
With 20 years of experience SHL has installed over 140 platforms and over 200 foundations. This huge backlog of experience is available to our clients via the development of our crane vessels, our installation equipment and our in-house project management, engineering and design processes.
