Texas-based hot work safety enclosure (HWSE) specialist PetroHab is pleased to announce that the company collaborated with STEP Oil & Gas in Brazil during 2017 to establish a new office in Macae, Brazil.
The new facility is the latest addition to PetroHab’s global network, alongside its existing offices in Alaska, Vietnam, Bahrain and the UAE.
Moreover, its leadership position in the hot work enclosures market was further buttressed in 2017 when the United States Patent and Trademark Office granted PetroHab a second patent (United States Patent No 9,545,775) on its Quadra-Lock® zipper-less panel interlocking technology.
PetroHab’s Quadra-Lock panel interlocking technology has revolutionised the way habitat panels are utilised in the oil and gas Industry to build flexible hot work enclosures, and has effectively rendered obsolete its competitors’ zippered and trouble-prone habitat panels.
No longer needing an ‘A type’ and ‘B type’ panel in order to zip two habitat panels together, the Quadra-Lock 1m x 1m panels are all standard and completely interchangeable, boasting incredibly fast assembly and disassembly times and unparalleled strength and modularity.
Like PetroHab’s custom-made 5HP pneumatic blowers, which are capable of throttling air flows up to 7,000 cubic feet per minute (cfm), all of the panels making up the Petro-Habitat enclosures are proudly made in the USA.
In addition, the 1,000°F continuous heat resistance offered by the ANSI/FM 4950-certified premium silicone coated fibreglass materials from which each Petro-Habitat panel is made and the 1,500°F continuous heat resistance offered by the vermiculite fibreglass floor tiles that are used to cover the flooring of the Petro-Habitats, negate the necessity of adding fire blankets to the walls or floors of PetroHab’s habitats.
Whereas most of PetroHab’s competitors will only lease their habitats to end-users, PetroHab stands almost alone in offering its patented and certified habitats for either lease or sale and in providing training and certification programs for its customers’ personnel on the assembly, disassembly and maintenance of its habitats and automatic shutdown systems, which are designed to monitor, and act upon, the loss of differential pressure within the Petro-Habitats and / or the presence of any potentially harmful atmospheric conditions either in or around them.
