Energy services provider Expro has secured multi-year tubular running services (TRS) contracts with two operators in the Gulf of America.

The contracts, collectively valued at over $80m, encompass services for both deepwater drill ships and platform rigs, leveraging Expro’s advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

The incorporation of Expro’s cutting-edge Centri-FI platform into these contracts is set to revolutionise operations by reducing personnel, eliminating hazardous red zone entries, and improving the repeatability of tasks to optimise overall performance.

In line with the contracts, Expro will also introduce its innovative Rig Integration “Driller’s Control” Package, iTong, and other advanced completions technologies.

These components are essential for the support of forthcoming developments, including high-pressure 20K projects that demand the highest calibre of industry technologies.

These agreements not only reaffirm Expro’s dedication to providing innovative and high-performance solutions but also highlight the company’s role in advancing safety, efficiency, and operational excellence in challenging offshore environments.

Expro Well Construction vice president Jeremy Angelle: “Securing these long-term contracts with two of the world’s leading operators highlights the trust placed in Expro to deliver innovative and reliable solutions in the most demanding offshore environments.

“Our advanced technologies – including Centri-FITM and iTongTM – are helping reshape what’s possible in tubular running services, enhancing safety, reducing personnel exposure, and driving consistent performance. We’re proud to continue supporting these critical developments and remain committed to advancing operational excellence in the Gulf of America.”

Earlier this year, Expro expanded its portfolio by securing a contract to provide TRS for the Netherlands’ first offshore carbon capture and storage (CCS) system.

This project is in alignment with Expro’s sustainability objectives and involves the transformation of former offshore gas production wells into CO₂ injection wells.
