Technor manufactures a wide range of flameproof and explosion protected solutions for the offshore industry. We supply explosion protected and flame proof control stations, enclosures, flash beacons and alarm sounders, as well as intrinsically safe industrial PCs and many other items.

EXPLOSION PROTECTED AND FLAMEPROOF ENCLOSURES

Technor manufactures a wide range of flameproof enclosures (EEx d) in aluminium alloy, painted mild steel and SS316 stainless steel. A wide range of standard sizes are available in all materials and Technor can modify or customise all enclosures to your exact specifications. Explosion protected (increased safety, EEx e) enclosures are available in SS316 or GRP (Glass-fibre Reinforced Polyester) and can be flanged to a flameproof enclosure to provide an EEx de solution.

EXPLOSION PROTECTED CONTROL STATIONS

We excel in manufacturing explosion protected control stations using flameproof or increased safety enclosures and our extensive range of control components, buttons, illuminators and switchgear. Control stations can be manufactured to your exact specification or designed to meet a specific need by our hazardous area engineers. EXPLOSION PROTECTED FLASH BEACONS AND ALARM SOUNDERS

Technor's explosion protected warning equipment has a proven track record in the demanding environment of the North Sea. Explosion protected flashing beacons are manufactured in SS316 stainless steel or seawater resistant aluminium and are available with an increased safety connection box. Technor's flameproof alarm unit, manufactured in GRP is an ideal replacement for standard fire alarm bells as a maintenance-free option, due to its lack of moving parts. Technor also offers customised alarm and gas detection and shutdown solutions to meet customers' specific needs.

INTRINSICALLY SAFE AND EXPLOSION PROTECTED COMPUTERS AND HMI

Technor's ISIS range of explosion protected and intrinsically safe computers and HMI has always represented the state of the art in operator interface and process control technology.We introduced the first hazardous area operator terminal to the market in 1986 and the first intrinsically safe fibre optic pc terminal in 1996.

The ISIS range comprises compact high-performance terminals and full industrial PCs for Zone 1, 2, 21 and 22 applications offering full PC functionality within the hazardous area. ISIS also boasts extended operating temperature ranges of -40°c to +50°c and WiFi connectivity.

All computers are manufactured to customers exact specifications, optimised for use with all major operating systems.

To meet specific customer needs Technor has specialised in design, manufacturing and certification of tailor-made EEx explosion protected solutions for all classified hazardous areas. EXPLOSION PROOF CONNECTORS AND CABLE FOR OFFSHORE AND INDUSTRY

Technor is an authorised distributor of Amphenol® Pyle National Star-line Ex® connectors manufactured from high-grade machined aluminium. These heavy duty cylindrical explosion proof connectors are ideal for high-power as well as signal applications in harsh, potentially explosive environments.

Technor supplies RADOX® and SAB Bröckskes cable. RADOX® is specially developed for meeting high safety standards under adverse conditions - it has good dielectric characteristics and is often used in offshore electrical installations.
