Case Study: GE EMD Power Pack vs EMD Inc Power Pack

Turner EPS were engaged by one of world's largest offshore drilling contractors to carry out a feasibility study to establish if EMD power packs manufactured by General Electric (GE) were comparable in quality, reliability and performance with those manufactured by the OEM. One existing EMD 16-645E8 engine on an enhanced pacetter drill rig operating in the North Sea was selected for this purpose.
