IDAC is a value-added reseller for a wide range of engineering analysis software, including the full ANSYS simulation suite. It also offers a flexible consulting service to complement its clients’ analysis needs through its engineers, who have extensive FEA and CFD experience.
Multi-physics simulation allows engineers and designers to evaluate their product designs operating under real-world conditions. The ANSYS Multiphysics suite allows engineers and designers to simulate the interaction between structural mechanics, heat transfer, fluid flow, acoustics and electromagnetism, all within a single software product.
The ANSYS CFX computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation suite greatly assists customers in improving their profits by rapidly optimising every aspect of fluid flow analysis within their overall product design and manufacturing processes.
The superior performance of ANSYS CFX is not based on any single product feature, but a combination of proven, leading-edge technology in all elements of the software that provides accuracy, reliability, speed and flexibility.
CivilFEM offers a highly developed customisation of ANSYS for civil engineering applications. It is a powerful analysis tool for all areas of advanced civil engineering.
FloWizard software is a rapid flow-modelling tool that allows design and process engineers to rapidly and accurately validate their designs much earlier in the product development cycle.
ANSYS Structural, a structural simulation suite, provides all the power of ANSYS’ nonlinear structural capabilities, as well as all linear capabilities, in order to deliver the highest quality, most reliable structural simulation results.
ANSYS Mechanical structural / thermal simulation software includes a full complement of nonlinear and linear elements, material laws ranging from metal to rubber, and the most comprehensive set of solvers available.
It can handle even the most complex assemblies, especially those involving nonlinear contact, and is the ideal choice for determining stresses, temperatures and displacements.
IDAC’s expanding CFD business group continues to help businesses with their growing demand for virtual testing and prototyping. Given the complex nature of turbulent flows and their unsteady behaviour, very often IDAC consultants have to resort to using more than just steady state simulations to predict the flow field in or around objects.
Large eddy simulations (LES) are often used for industrial applications where the flow is intrinsically fluctuating or the Reynolds-Averaged Navier Stokes equations are known to fail, such as highly separated flow regions. However, given the massive computational demand and time involved in setting up and solving an LES solution, IDAC engineers also make use of detached eddy simulation (DES) and scale adaptive simulation (SAS) turbulence models.
IDAC runs both scheduled and customised training courses on a regular basis, which can be based in its own dedicated training room or at your site, depending which most suits your needs. The company has also announced a new training program in the Middle East.
With over 100 combined years of analysis experience, IDAC’s engineering analysts use ANSYS finite element analysis software to validate product and process designs in fields including:
IDAC has not only helped customers develop product designs and processes by supplying them with customised ANSYS finite element analysis software but also come up with designs to fix problems.
Customised versions of ANSYS can help businesses quickly gain the benefits of ‘virtual world’ validation. IDAC can provide turnkey solutions to complicated generic problems without the overheads normally associated with a dedicated engineering analysis group or department.
We prove expert training on a wide range of analysis topics. All our trainers are full-time consultants who have helped develop software code.
Engineering analysis support for analysts and scientists

In the world of electromagnetism, changing magnetic fields are generated by alternating electric currents, which result in induced electric current in conducting materials.
IDAC was approached by Whittaker Engineering to validate the structural integrity of a newly designed gypsy wheel using finite element analysis.
IDAC recently evaluated the structural integrity of the external components of an open water lubricator valve, under extreme operational and testing loads, in accordance with the ISO/DIS 13628-7 standard. Based on Expro’s innovative ball-valve technology, open water lubricator valves (OWLVs) are
