July has been a busy month for Beck Prosper Ltd (BPL), as we have achieved the goals set for 2014 in obtaining OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and the International Environmental Management standard ISO 14001 through LRQA approval.

BPL’s success in achieving both OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 accreditation, along with ISO 9001 renewal in July, reinforces the company’s commitment in delivering the highest-quality and service and continually improving the business performance in a safe and legal working environment.

"Personally, I have been delighted by the way these projects have been embraced by the entire workforce, which has resulted in BPL becoming a safer environment for employees and visitors."

BPL managing director Martin Boulter said: "Personally, I have been delighted by the way these projects have been embraced by the entire workforce, which has resulted in BPL becoming a safer environment for employees and visitors. These standards are not mandatory but demonstrate the desire within our management team to remain ahead of the innovation curve within our industry. Our major blue-chip clients also have to take credit as they have challenged us to raise our own performance and I am delighted by our response."

BPL compliance officer Paul Overton is delighted with this achievement, as he has put in a considerable effort recently to ensure that BPL achieves the high standards we have set for ourselves.

Paul is also responsible for establishing an Integrated Management System (IMS), which reflects all the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2008, ISO 4001:2004 and BS OHSAS:2007. This covers more than documentation, as it is a fully comprehensive, implemented and maintained system.

Our next challenge will be to achieve ISO/IEC17025 by the end of 2014.
