Transvac Systems - Gas Ejector Systems for Flare Gas Recovery, Vent Gas Recovery and LP Gas Compression

Transvac Gas Ejectors use HP gas to safely and economically compress flare, vent, surplus or LP gas. When utilizing HP motive gas from existing sources, ejectors (also called eductors or jet pumps) have no running costs.

FLARE AND VENT GAS RECOVERY

Flaring is becoming increasingly unacceptable as the industry progresses towards eliminating the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Gas ejectors offer a reliable technology for recovering waste or surplus gas to prevent emissions whilst simultaneously conserving energy.

GAS EJECTOR CONTROL

In operation it is not uncommon for the flowrate of the flare or waste gas to vary and, if not controlled, the suction pressure of the gas ejector would also vary. In order to maintain the desired pressure on the suction side of the gas ejector a number of standard control techniques are available.

  • Recycling of gas from the discharge side of the gas ejector back into the suction (low pressure) side
  • Incorporation of an integral HP gas regulating assembly which varies the motive fluid consumed

LP GAS COMPRESSION

Gas ejectors are a proven technology for reducing the FTHP of LP wells thereby generating the following benefits for the operator:

  • Increasing gas production
  • Restarting shut-in wells due to high export-pressures
  • Reducing tendency of wells to load with condensate
  • Increasing total field recovery

Transvac gas ejectors offer important advantages when compared to mechanical compressors:

  • No moving parts and maintenance free
  • No running costs because ejectors can use HP gas energy traditionally wasted across a choke valve or HP recycle gas from an existing compressor
  • Relatively low costs mean project upgrades become cost-effective
  • Environmentally friendly option with no operating costs or emissions
  • Fast-track installation make short-term well opportunities viable
  • Minimal disruption to existing production operations
  • Low-weight and compact size allow installation on most production facilities
  • Ejectors can provide a no-risk option
  • Performance easily modified to suit depleting well-conditions
  • Ejectors are suitable for topside and subsea installation

TRANSVAC EJECTORS

Transvac has been designing and manufacturing ejectors for over 30 years and has full in-house control over process and mechanical design, supply of raw materials, manufacturing, scheduling and testing. With all of our procedures certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 the quality of the final product is assured.

All Transvac ejectors are custom designed to suit the process and mechanical requirements of each application to ensure maximum operating efficiency. Transvac is accredited to Module H of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and products are CE marked where appropriate. We are also first point assessment and Achilles registered.

Transvac offers standard and exotic materials of construction including carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, super duplex, 6Mo and other materials. Using our wealth of experience Transvac process engineers can provide a front-end screening consultancy service on the use of ejector technology for oil and gas applications.
