Flare gas recovery specialists, Transvac, are all set to present their zero-flare ejectors to delegates at Abu Dhabi’s ADIPEC exhibition next week. Transvac is the world’s leading supplier of Ejector technology to the oil and gas industry, and identifies the Middle East as a key market.

"It’s a huge show for us and flare gas recovery is a huge challenge in this part of the world", says Peter Ainge, Transvac’s marketing manager. "The past year has been very exciting for us, and we look forward to bringing our 40 years experience, technology and innovation to the fore. We are confident that ADIPEC will provide a forum for meeting with a range of engineers from different disciplines who are yet to grasp the wide range of ejector applications available to them"

"The advantages of this technology – no moving parts, no maintenance, no running costs etc. – sells itself. Now, with the our R&D test facility in full swing, we can offer a whole new level of product assurance to our clients. We can prove our technology, the clients can come and witness tests and we can offer performance mapping for peace of mind going forward."

Traditionally in the oil and gas industry, waste and surplus gas has been disposed of by flaring to atmosphere. Today this process is becoming increasingly unacceptable as the Industry progresses towards eliminating the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere whilst simultaneously conserving energy. Therefore, the demand for equipment that can safely and economically compress waste and surplus gas back into the production process is rapidly increasing.

Transvac gas ejectors are ideally suited to this application because they employ high-pressure gas (or liquid) energy to entrain and compress waste and surplus gas to a pressure where the gas can be used in the process. Alternative schemes could involve the use of a side stream taken from the discharge of the gas-lift compressors as the HP motive gas supply. Schemes in which the flare gas is compressed into the fuel gas system are also common.

Transvac will be exhibiting in the EIC UK Group, Stand number 8110D.
